Turnkey Process Lines

Slitting Lines

At Machine Concepts, slitting is one of our specialties. We can design and build a complete slitting line for any application. Our lines are designed for efficient high throughput operation with a minimal number of operators. We offer quick coil loading/unloading and slitter change over times, hands-free threading, automatic slitter and separator tooling setup, self-threading scrap chutes, automated tension stand setup and safe strapping of slit mults at the exit end.

Coating Lines

We have years of experience working on coating lines and coating line equipment. We offer many specialized features for efficient reliable operation including welded strip joining, automatic strip joint alignment, precision leveling and high-precision side trimming.

Continuous Anneal or Heat Treating Lines

At Machine Concepts, we understand the demanding requirements related to continuous process lines. Our applications and engineering team will work with you to develop a complete engineered solution to match your requirements.

Despooling Lines

We offer several options for despooling of mill sleeves including basic or highly automated lines. Some standard features include a small line footprint, automatic pup coil loading, simple and efficient threading, integrated sleeve handling and the ability to segregate scrap by alloy. We offer systems tailored for light or heavy gauge applications.

Oscillate Slitting Lines

We offer many options for oscillate slitting, including specialized slitters for narrow mults, accurate tension control of individual mults, edge conditioning, camber-free winding, operator-friendly coil threading and coil removal, and position-based PLC controls system with integrated safety. Contact our applications engineering group for a thorough review of your application.

Blanking Lines

We can design and build blanking lines for any application. Our lines are designed for efficient, high throughput operation with quick coil loading and stacker change over times. Custom shearing, dunnage loading and pack handling are available to suit customer needs.

Coil to Coil Leveling Lines

At Machine Concepts, leveling is also one of our specialties. We can design a complete leveling line for any application. Our lines are designed for efficient operation with minimal space requirements. We offer quick coil loading/unloading and automatic leveler setup, including our patented Autoflat systems. Other features can be included in the line based on customer requirements, such as side trimming and strip marking.

Inspection Lines

We can provide inspection systems for mill or finishing line applications, all tailored to the customer’s specific process or material. Our system can include manual inspection stations, automated vision scanning, data collection, automatic stoning and automated defect marking.

Tension Level Lines

At Machine Concepts, we apply our extensive knowledge of leveling to design precision tension leveling lines for steel, aluminum or other specialty metal applications. We offer state-of-the-art drive systems for the best possible control of the leveling process.
